Welcome to the websites of the Faculty of History.

The Faculty of History combines various disciplines, which, despite their different methods and fields of work, share a commen interest in researching historical events and legacies. These include history, art history and archaeological studies (classical archaeology and prehistory and early history) and other institutions.

The faculty also cooperates with disciplines whose primary focus is on other subjects but which incorporate the historical development of this subject as a sub-discipline, such as theology, law and philology; in the field of social, economic, technical and environmental history, the social and economic sciences; and in archaeology, archaeometry, among others.

In ligt of recent events, the Faculty of History expressly commits itself to the Code of Freedom and Diversity at RUB:
